Kingsley Middle School's 8th graders headed out to the school's 500-acre property on Hammer Road for the 6th Annual "Science Day!"
KHS Wilderness students in Mr. Boone Scharp's class created nine stations for the middle schoolers to cycle through: fire-building, survival bracelet making, geocaching, naturalist training camp, foraging and wild mushrooms, macro invertebrates, shelter building, and projecticles, which included using a slingshot to launch water balloons!
8th grade science teacher Mrs. Tiffany Smith says the day is a way for her students to meet their new high school science teachers while also being out in nature.
With 80 degree heat and sunshine, it was a perfect day to be outside enjoying nature!
