Student Athletes of the Week 11/29 - 12/13 2021



The Kingsley Athletic Department would like to congratulate senior Leslie Hamilton, a softball standout, who has recently signed her letter of intent to play softball at Cornerstone University next year. Leslie has earned six varsity letters in volleyball and softball at Kingsley High School.


In 2019, Hamilton was an honorable mention All-NWC outfielder, All District 1st Team OF and Record Eagle All-Area honorable mention outfielder as a freshman, while missing the 2020 season due to COVID-19. As a junior, Leslie led the Stags to a 30-9 record, a perfect 10-0 in Northwest Conference play. She was a 1st team All NWC OF, All District st team OF and a Record Eagle All-Area 2nd team outfielder. Leslie plans on majoring in nursing at Cornerstone.


Hamilton signed her letter of intent in the KHS gym on Monday, December 13, 2021.


Athletic Director Mitch Miggenburg would also like to congratulate our most recent Papano’s Student Athletes of the Week selections.



November 29, 2021: Kati Smith, Volleyball & Band

Kati is a junior on the varsity Stags volleyball team and field commander for the Kingsley Marching Band. Kati was recently accepted in the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association District Two Honors Band for the trumpet while lettering for Kingsley in volleyball. Kati also excels in pole vault for the Kingsley track & field team in the spring while carrying a 4.0 grade point average ranking 1st in the junior class.




December 6, 2021: Katey Lyon, Softball

Katey is a senior on the varsity Stags softball team and made a commitment this week to play softball collegiately at Bay College. Katey carries a 3.8 grade point average.





December 13, 2021: Isaac Grahn, Wrestling

Isaac is a junior on the varsity Stags wrestling team. Isaac had an outstanding opening weekend at Manton on Saturday, December 11th, going 4 and 0 and winning the 135-pound weight class in the Ranger Invitational. Isaac also maintains a 3.2 grade point average.
