Meet Kingsley's Preschool Team

Updated: Sep 19

Our littlest learners are back to school! Kingsley’s preschool offers the Great Start Readiness Program as well as a tuition-based program, both offering have a creative curriculum focused on literacy and language development for 3-5 year olds and is led by our caring teachers.

Meet our Preschool teachers below:

Rachel Brand

"I have worked with preschoolers for nine years and this will be my third year teaching at Kingsley. My favorite thing about working with this age group is helping them grow socially and getting them ready for Kindergarten. Also having fun, singing songs, and making their first experience with school a positive one!"

Melinda Boudot

"I’ve been working in a preschool setting for a year and a half, but I have four children with my oldest being 12 and youngest 5, so I feel like I have many years with a preschooler age child. I love seeing the kids come in with their smiling faces and the excitement they have when doing different activities. I enjoy all the different personalities they have."

Karen Goethals

"I am going into my 5th year working with preschoolers. I have worked at KAS for almost five years, the first two years was as a substitute teacher in grades Pre-K through 4th and the last (almost) three years have been as a preschool teacher.

My favorite part of working with this age group is just how much of a positive influence I can have on them. I love seeing them light up when they figure out they can do something, especially without someone else’s help. I love the energy, laughter, and happiness that they bring to the classroom."

Kimberly Hamilton

"This is my second year working at Kingsley and with preschoolers. I love their curiosity and personalities. They are so fun to be around."

Samantha King

"I have worked with preschoolers for about eight years now. I started out as a lead preschool teacher at a daycare/preschool and worked at a few different places before Covid. I took a few years off to be at home with my kids during that time. I was fortunate to see the listing for the opening at Kingsley as I have always wanted to work here being that I grew up in and went to Kingsley myself and now my own kids are here. I have been at KAS for one and a half years. This will be my second year working as a lead GSRP teacher. I started in February of 2023 as an assistant teacher. My favorite part of working with this age group is watching them grow as the year goes on. They learn so much and it is very rewarding to watch as they succeed in learning new skills."

Terri Lidak

"I've worked with preschoolers for 20+ years! Six at my home daycare, six when the preschool was privately owned here in Kingsley and this fall I am beginning my ninth year working for KAS. I LOVE working with this age group! I get the awesome opportunity to be the first experience they have with school. I get to show them that learning is fun, that understanding is powerful, that being kind is important. Not to mention the laughs and the love, and the reward of seeing how these smallest learners grow up to be the pride of Kingsley."

Melissa Porter

"I have worked with preschoolers for 15 years, six years with a community partner at KAS, and I am in year nine directly with KAS. What I love most about working with this age group is being able to watch the growth, confidence, and love of school blossom throughout the school year. They are our earliest learners and we want them to LOVE coming to school every day! Also, the hugs are a huge perk too!"

Charlie Wistrand

"I love seeing the spark of excitement when a child is enjoying what they are learning, and look forward to seeing that spark in each of them this year. The ability to be patient in figuring out a child's needs is my superpower."

Preschool registration will open in or around February 2025. To learn more about Kingsley's program, visit www.kingsleyschools.org/preschool-options
