Kingsley Middle School Student Journalism Interviews: Spring 2024



Extra, extra! Read all about it! This semester, sixth graders and aspiring journalists Addison Middaugh and Ta'Shaun Pryce have been working on stories focusing on the students and staff of Kingsley Middle School. Every month, they interview one student and one teacher for blurbs that appear in the monthly newsletter. Take a look at their recent features:


Piotr Buniewicz - Eighth Grade Teacher

  1. What grade are you in or do you teach?

I teach eighth grade and I teach American history


  1. What are your interests and/or hobbies?

I enjoy hiking, mushroom hunting, and playing soccer.


  1. What do you love about Kingsley?

I love the community and the people, I feel like we are working together really well.


  1. What’s one fun fact about you?

I used to teach on an island called Mackinac Island and I had a class of six students.


  1. What is a dream or goal you have?

I am working towards writing a book about my family, my parents, my grandparents so I am working towards that.


  1. What is one thing you want the community to know about you? 

That when you see me walking in the village with my adorable daughter we love stopping to say hi to people.



June Jerret

  1. What grade are you in or do you teach?

Seventh grade.


  1. What are your interests and/or hobbies?

Riding horses and 4-H.


  1. What do you love about Kingsley?

That there is a lot of good people here.


  1. What’s one fun fact about you?

That I rodeo.


  1. What is a dream or goal you have?

To live on a big ranch and own a bunch of horses.


  1. What is one thing you want the community to know about you? 

That I have done 4-H since 2019.


Christopher Gaddy - Eighth Grade Teacher

  1. What grade are you in or do you teach?

8th grade English language arts.


  1. What are your interests and/or hobbies?

I like spending time with family or outside activities like just exercising or hiking or fishing and board games once a month with my siblings.


  1. What do you love about Kingsley?

I love how welcoming and supportive everyone has been.


  1. What’s one fun fact about you?

I am the oldest of three siblings.


  1. What is a dream or goal you have?

I would like to travel to Europe with my wife.


  1. What is one thing you want the community to know about you? 

I am very happy to be here and look forward to supporting the community.


Izabell Greinke
  1. What grade are you in or do you teach?

Sixth grade.


  1. What are your interests and/or hobbies?

Drawing.


  1. What do you love about Kingsley?

That it is kind and has kind teachers.


  1. What’s one fun fact about you?

I help others by helping them get to classes or doing work.


  1. What is a dream or goal you have?

To run a farm one day. Mainly a horse farm where people can come and ride horses. 


  1. What is one thing you want the community to know about you? 

That I try my best.



Bob Shoaff - Woodshop Teacher

  1. What grade are you in or do you teach?

6, 7, 8th Grade Woodshop.


2. What are your interests and/or hobbies?

Woodworking, fishing, backpacking and spending time with family.


3. What do you love about Kingsley?

I like our saying in our school and on the football field, we are family and I love the community/family feel.


4. What’s one fun fact about you?

I've been teaching in Kingsley for 35 years and I have also taught science here.


5. What is a dream or goal you have?

Eventually retiring and traveling with my camper. 


6. What is one thing you want the community to know about you? 

I am just thankful to the community, as they have continued to support me throughout my entire time here. It truly makes that family-feel much stronger and reminds me how thankful I am for the community we are a part of.
