The Kingsley Athletic Department would like to congratulate our Papano’s Student Athletes of the Week for the fall season.
August 30, 2021: Angel Zoulek, Volleyball
Angel is a senior hitter for the Kingsley varsity volleyball team and had a solid first tournament for the Stags with 24 kills and four blocks in the Stag’s opening tournament at Beal City. Angel also plays basketball and track & field for the Stags while carrying a 3.83 GPA.
September 6, 2021: Grace Lewis, Volleyball
Grace is a sophomore on the Kingsley varsity volleyball team and had a solid quad for the Stags on Wednesday, September 1st with 12 kills and 27 digs in the Stag’s sweep of Charlevoix, Manton and Leland. Grace also plays basketball and softball for the Stags while carrying a perfect 4.0 GPA ranking 1st in the sophomore class.
September 13, 2021: True Beeman, Football
True is a senior running back for the Kingsley varsity football team and has had a solid season for the Stags rushing for 186 yards on just 16 carries (11.6 yds/carry) and 4 touchdowns in two wins over McBain and Glen Lake. True also plays basketball and track
& field for the Stags while carrying a 3.38 GPA.
September 20, 2021: Winston Pelloski, Cross Country
Winston is a 3-year varsity runner for the Kingsley cross country team and had a top-10 finish at the 1st Northwest Conference Jamboree last week at Buckley finishing 9th in 18:59. Winston also runs distance in track & field for the Stags while carrying a perfect 3.89 GPA ranking 4th in the junior class.
September 27, 2021: Phillip Brown, Football
Phillip is a safety for the varsity Stags defense. Philip had an outstanding game at Benzie Central last week with 8 tackles and a 95-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Huskies. Phillip also wrestles for the Stags while carrying a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
October 4, 2021: Coral Bott, Volleyball
Coral is a senior varsity Stags volleyball player. Coral had an outstanding tri-match last night vs. Elk Rapids and Mesick with 27 digs and is serving at 95% on the season. Coral also excels in basketball and track & field for the Stags while carrying a 3.4 grade point average.
October 11, 2021: Brett Peterson, Football
Brett is a senior linebacker/fullback for the varsity Stags football team. Brett currently leads the Kingsley defense in tackles and taken over fullback duties for the Stag offense. Brett also plays basketball and baseball for the Stags while carrying a perfect 4.0 grade point average ranking 1st in the senior class.
October 18, 2021: Isabell Peltier, Cross Country
Isabell is a runner for the varsity Stags cross country team. Last Tuesday, Isabell had a career personal record time of 21:32 at the Benzie Central Northwest Conference Jamboree earning her 2nd team All-Northwest Conference honors. Isabell also excels at track & field for Kingsley while carrying a perfect 3.38 grade point average.
