Sustainable Science Plants Class Garden

Kingsley Middle School teacher Tiffany Smith's dream of having a Sustainable Science class garden has come to fruition!

Students worked hard to several kinds of produce, including tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers, corn, pumpkins, sunflowers, onions, peppers, and more.

"Through this project, students are learning valuable skills in gardening, sustainability, and food preservation, with plans to learn how to can this fall," said Tiffany Smith.

This project would not have been possible without generous community support.

"We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Great Lakes Energy and TBA Credit Union for their generous financial support of our new school garden project. A special thank you also goes to Eastwood Custom Homes for donating all of the topsoil needed to fill our 20 raised garden beds," said Ms. Smith.

Stay tuned for more garden updates to come!
