Mitch Miggenburg Named Regional Athletic Director of the Year

KINGSLEY – The Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (MIAAA) has named Mitch Miggenburg, Athletic Director at Kingsley Area Schools, the Region 2 Athletic Director of the Year.

This prestigious honor recognizes outstanding leadership, dedication, and contributions to interscholastic athletics. With more than two decades of service in education-based athletics, Miggenburg has built a career defined by leadership, vision, and a deep commitment to student-athletes.

“This recognition is well deserved and speaks to the leadership, dedication, and vision our athletic director, Mitch Miggenburg, brings to Kingsley Area Schools every day. His commitment to student-athletes extends far beyond wins and losses,” says Superintendent Joshua T. Rothwell.

“The success of our programs — including a girls’ volleyball state championship and a football team runner-up finish at Ford Field this past fall — reflects the strong culture he has helped build. Most importantly, he ensures our students grow as competitors, teammates, and leaders, and our entire district is proud of the example he sets.”
