A New Teacher joins the KHS Workshop

Kingsley High School's new woodworking teacher has a personal mantra: "honesty is the best policy." And in Mr. Jim Burnor's classroom, his students learn more than how to build a birdhouse, or a table, or a wooden box. They learn craftsmanship. And that craftsmanship is built on integrity. At the end of the semester, they can proudly take home their projects, and skills they can use for the rest of their lives.

Mr. Burnor joined Kingsley Schools in 2020. After a year full of Zoom meetings and virtual classrooms, he's excited to be face-to-face with students once again. He says he has some exciting new projects planned!

When he's not in the workshop, you can find Mr. Burnor exploring Northern Michigan. He's an outdoorsman in all four seasons, and likes boating, snowmobiling, bow hunting and spending time with his family.
