On Thursday, April 25, the Kingsley Branch Library hosted the high school's annual Art Attack! a juried exhibition and art show, sponsored by the Kingsley Friends of the Library.
KHS alum and graphic designer Katie Travis served as judge for the competition, and selected three winners for each category: painting, clay, non-clay sculpture, and drawing.

Katie Travis is a professional graphic designer with almost 10 years of experience in her field. She attended Kingsley High School from 2009 to 2013, where her favorite class was always Art. After some guidance from Mrs. Graham, Katie chose to major in graphic design at Saginaw Valley State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2017. After graduating, she worked at Dow for 5 years as part of their in-house design agency. Her projects ranged from designing international trade show booths to creating branding for special events like the Dow Tennis Classic. Katie is currently the Senior Graphic Designer for the North American Internal Communications team at Stellantis, a global automotive company, where she creates visuals to aid leadership in sharing valuable company information with employees and customers. In her free time, she enjoys doing CrossFit, exploring Grand Rapids with her fiancé, and spending time with her friends and family.
Each winner received a certificate and a cash prize thanks to the generosity of the Kingsley Friends of the Library.
Congratulations to our Kingsley artists and show winners!
